Account is frozen but still charged!!!!

I received an email confirming that my gym membership has been frozen for 2 months and that no money will debited from account. Today I got charged £37.42! Firstly considering It's supposedly frozen I should'nt be charged anything, secondly my normal monthy fee is £29.95...It took me into my overdraft on that account. I rang them to resolve it and I honestly don't think half the people are qualified to do these tasks. I'll see what happens next month.

THIS GYM IS GOING DOWN HILL!!

I MADE TWO BOOKINGS THROUGH THE BETTER WEBSITE WHERE A FEW OPTIONS FOR INDOOR GROUP SESSIONS CONTINUE TO BE AVAILABLE BEFORE 17TH MAY 2021...?THE FIRST SESSION I TURNED UP ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THERE HAD BEEN A MISTAKE ON THE WEBSITE.THE SECOND SESSION HAD BEEN CANCELLED BY BETTER OF WHICH I RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE THIS WAS FOR AN OUTDOOR AEROBICS ACTIVITY. I HAVE EMAILED SEVERAL TIMES AND CALLED. I EVEN MANAGED TO SPEAK TO SOMEBODY OVER THE PHONE ONLY TO BE LOCKED OFF THE PHONE..( I CAN ONLY ASSUME PURPOSELY SINCE NO ONE HAS ANSWERED AGAIN AFTER THAT TIME. ONE WHOLE WEEK LATER!) I THEN EMAILED FOR A REFUND AND ATTACHED EVIDENCE FOR THIS WITH NO HELPFUL RESPONSE EXCEPT THESE USELESS TICKET REFERENCE NUMBERS.ALL I WANT IS MY REFUND!I'M SO FED UP AND AFTER THIS I WON'T BE USING THEIR SERVICE AGAIN!! WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE I LIVE 5-10 MINUTES FROM TWO BETTER CENTRES. REPLY TO MY EMAILS I DON'T NEED ANYMORE TICKET REFERENCE NUMBERS JUST GIVE ME MY REFUND!

I had a problem with my membership and…

I had a problem with my membership and as soon as I worked out how to contact someone at Better (via the website) it was sorted out quickly.

Deaf customer and chat room

As I am deaf I use live chat room. And it works perfectly for me. Staff are friendly and efficient . For that I give them 5 stars.

I have been charged in lockdown

I have been charged in lockdown. Can you believe it?Yes this company is taking money despite all their gyms closed. When complained they said i have to wait 6 weeks for the refund! I have had enough of this company. In last 3 years been charged 'accidentally' several times, many times when on reception asking me to pay for borrowing towel which i never used, and still waiting for refund of cancelled session that happened in summer. The receptionists in some centres have zero training in customer service and acting as if they do me, paying customer a favour. I am cancelling my membership with this company and urge others to act same. It outrageous this company been hired by council.

Better Gym Hammersmith took a monthly…

Better Gym Hammersmith took a monthly membership after the membership was frozen for three months. There still took money from my account even after I spoke to customer service at head head office several times. And filled out a refund forms 5 timesI have sent over 15 emails . Better Gym still took a second direct debit again. The unhelpful customer services team can't refund my money. I have cancelled my membership and I will tell the whole country what betters gym Hammersmith has done to me. You need Change this Gym app and Give me and other people back there Money.

The company is clearly out of its depth…

The company is clearly out of its depth ,Web site does not have adequate information ,customer service completely disappeared.They do not reply to emails and enquires.No information if swimming lessons have resumed or not.Web site is a useless.

Awful admin/website and cash cow system

Website, customer services and admin process all absolutely shockingly useless and impossible to navigate. As for the lessons, whilst the teachers can be good, the system seems designed only to make as much money as possible from parents. It is not focused on progressing kids through classes efficiently. Instead kids are stuck in classes repeating tasks many times, full classes block progress, and progress is glacial.

Dreadful

Dreadful. They refuse to answer the phone and hide behind Coronavirus to justify inadequate staffing levels. Impossible to use Better's website. How I regret paying annual membership! I'm going to complain to my MP. Unless they actually have people answering the phones at customer services, they are not performing the service they promise to do.

Membership unfrozen without consent

They unfroze my membership without consent and charged me a month's fee. In their defence, they sent out emails that they would be unfreezing memberships, and to continue with freezing, you had to inform them. These emails were lost in my junk/promotional emails. They should've at-least called to verify. All they did here was take advantage of the situation and charge a month's fee. Stay away from these scammers.

Les Mills

I find it really dissapointing that Les Mills are no longer part of GLL. GLL haven't had the common curtesy to let members (or apparantly staff) know about this. I understand it is due to the fact that Les Mills didn't want to wave their license fee over the lockdown period, but it's obvious, from what I have heard from members that the amount of money GLL will lose when members go elsewhere would cover the license fee. A lot of people, including myself joined GLL because there were Les Mills classes taking place at the centres. I paid for my membership a year in advance and have some time to run on it but had I payed monthly by direct debit, I would be cancelling my membership straight away.
